I am confused, no donation is necessary but the 1 minute I spent on it I could not figure out how to sign up without making a donation.

For the cost of a post card and a stamp, you may as well just donate the min amount ($10) online... :)

Why? This method of entry is required in order for this to be legal in the state of Florida (and, by extension, legal in the United States).

Reminder that this is a contest, not a lottery.

I know but do we really think WTC is throwing these post-cards in the lottery?

I only say this because in the first new version of this 'contest' with IM Boulder (where the post-cards were an option) all 10 winners were on the start list for the race.

You really think, given the $2,761,910 in proceeds they forfeited, plus the legal fees to hire an honest-to-God A+ level criminal attorney, that they would attempt to flout this?

I'm pretty cynical, but there's no doubt in my mind that everything they're doing with the contest is on the up-and-up.

They already did the drawing for athletes who had signed up for events. This is the separate "normal" drawing period whereby you enter either via a suggested donation amount to IMF, or a postcard to IMF, delivered by April 10th.

Congrats to the ten winners of the Kona drawing sadly I am not one of them. I will continue racing though and maybe one day I'll have my chance to tow the line at the race that first inspired me to do this.

Well you still have the dozen or so ebay slots, you could be guaranteed a spot there. No waiting, no wondering, just put up your $50k and you are in!!! (-;
