Ironman Florida (Official Tracking Thread :)
G-Morning Dev!

Well we're powered up in NJ & despite there being carnage on the beach & surrounding areas, by a stroke of luck we have power & internet this morning. Just got in a nice chilly run & about to plop down & watch IMF unfold.

Going to be a fun day of racing....curious to see what Starykowicz does to the bike if conditions cooperate & then see some of our runners motor through the field :) GAME ON!

Looks like he is moving... from the live tracker splits he put 4 minutes into the second guy in 15 miles of the bike... Shesh!

My live tracker is only showing top 5 swim splits right now and nothing else. You have all the splits for the swim on IM Live Tracker?

I started a thread on his bike split, originally I thought sub 4:15...now I'm thinking he is just gonna go for it, 4:10 is possible.

Let me guess that is coming off of the "live blog" which I cannot view at work. I was getting bits and pieces of the video exiting T1, but nothing more than that. Hopefully the video comes around as the day goes on.

Wow, IM.com athlete tracker isn't working. Absolutely. Shocked.

Pro men have been out of the water for an hour & nothing but 8 of them showing.

My prediction is that he will break the bike course record and will come off the bike with a 20 min lead on the rest of the pack.. The guy is an animal on the bike and he spent a TON of time on the trainer this summer :) Heck, i'll throw it out there and say that he will win today. I hope he does, the guy deserves it.

He's hammering it, just 6 days after going under 2 hours on the bike at Rev3 Florida Half. Guess that was just a "warmup"

Looks like Scotty was on pace to go 54-56mins, hopefully he held the same pace the second lap. Looking forward to watching him run. Brett Carter said if he runs Sub 2:40 he will wear the borat mankini at IM Cozumel!

At least they've got a high quality video feed. Let's us stay close to all the exciting action.

Brian, checked with timer on site....tracker is fine at this point, might have just been offline for a few minutes.

First pros are at 30 miles...1st place has 7 minutes already.

Geez Starykowicz is really blasting out of there! Is he really based out of Wauconda now?

Bretscher looks to be drivin himself up into the top 5. He's a guy who could win if starkowicz blows up and Defillipis doesn't get too close, Scotty's riding good though.

So Starykowicz is at sub 4 hour pace halfway through the bike. I bet he runs really well.

I'm just glad to see that Scott is in a group vs being completely alone for 112mi like last year.

My teammate Peter Russo is having a good race so far. Out of the water in 56:XX leading the M45-49 division. I believe he has won in FL before but not for a few years now, good to see him back out there on top!

no what? Gerlach was riding in front of Olly for the first check, now Olly appears to be ahead, but at the time the comment I made was based on that fact thru the first time check. ...just add up the swim, T1, and first bike segment...I think at that point, Thomas was 7 seconds in front of Olly.

I don't think Starky will be able to hold this pace and run well, at least in contention. Madison based contingent of Blake Becker and Thomas Gerlach riding well so far!
