Looks like swim times are a bit fast, some of the guys I know I can outswim, swam incredibly fast times, way faster then recent race results would suggest.

I noticed that as well. A couple of friends swam about 6 minutes faster than I ever expected, but then another one swam about 5 minutes slower. go figure.

@ 25 miles, Jordan's now moved into top 10, ~20sec behind MV. Impressive that he's pulled in nearly 4mins on him over the 1st 40K.

Let me be the first to say this sucks. 16 minutes between any updates and we still don't know how the top 20 pros went through the turnaround? Bah.

Yes, water was pretty chilly as of yesterday (~63F).

Yep, definitely a wetsuit-legal swim. Yesterday they CLAIMED water temp was 63 deg. All I did was dip a foot in.....felt like 58-59. Every swimmer I saw yesterday was shivering for >1hour after their "warmup" swim. I'm off now--heading over to enjoy the fun!!!

I got to see Doe at IMC in '07, where he just led pole-to-pole. as he flew into T2, he just threw his bike at the catcher's with a "Holy Shit! i'm still leading this thing?!?" look on his face. but today it looks like Lieto is creeping up. i bet he still throws the bike though!

Jordan is riding one of his patented negative split bike rides, and I expect he will get very close to the lead before the bike is done. He knows his pace so well, I would expect a good solid 3 hour +/- run too. Hopefully it is enough for another podium top 3 there again. HE rides a very similar paced race to Torbjorn, very predictable as long as nothing funny is going on inside their bodies....

Go Jordy!!!!!

Currently, out front Kieran Doe (NZL) on his Argon 18, followed by Chris Lieto (USA) on a Trek TTX, Andreas Raelert (GER) I believe is on a Stevens, Jordan Rapp (USA) on a Felt DA and Frederik Van Lierde (BEL)on a Cervlo P3C.

it looks like there must have been a pretty good pack formed about 7:30 or 7:45 back. probably 8 or 10 guys, maybe more. but it seemed to have formed late, out of guys catching up to it (jozef major) and guys falling out of the top 3 or 4. i'm guessing that pack finishes about 9 minutes down of doe and lieto, with jordan maybe closing to 1 to 2 minutes down (he's a good closer over the last 15 miles).

jordan's had a significant lift in his run training, perhaps a breakthrough. if he can run 2:55 he can stay in the top 3, and maybe win if both guys in front falter. but somebody from that chase pack is going to make his way up toward the front.

Vabrousek down only 8 minutes at 90 miles makes him a real threat.
