Ironman 70.3 Muskoka
Was thinking of making this my "A" race for next season. I know that it will be the first time for this as an Ironman 70.3 event but I believe that there have been non IM races there in the past. Has any one raced in that area and whos signed up for next fall???

i'm in for the 70.3, and it will be one of my "A" races as well.

trisportcanada (who are also putting on the muskoka 70.3 race) puts on a long course race in the area and has done so for some time now (although the 70.3 will be a totally different course). the trisport races are second to none. you have nothing to worry about as far as that goes. the fact that the 70.3 is virtually sold out 1 year in advance tells you how confident people are that this will be a spectacular race.

I did!

And it's my "AAA" race of next year.

Supposedly they are taking 1500 people and it's at 1478 as of a few minutes ago.

Best be making up your mind asap!

The Muskoka Chase in June has run for years with a number of top Pros racing for cash, it is a really great venue, I did it for the first time this year.

The bike will be tough with some short hard climbs and longer pulls mixed in, great water for swimming and the host resort is one of the best in the area.

You will have a great time and have a challenging race.

I also made it my "A" race next year. It will be my first 70.3/HIM and little nervous about it. When I first signed up Deerhurst Resort was filled up without any openings. I went on a waiting list and about 4 days latter they had an opening for me. I got the lowest end room possible and it's $$$ (yes US dollars). Might as well bring the clubs and hit the links while I'm there, why not spend a few more $$.

I always wondered, are there parts of the world that aren't God's country. LOL
