Interesting new Smart Trainer - Oreka

This seems like an interesting new addition: https://www.orekatraining.com
Looking forward to seeing how accurate it is but as such it's good competition for the Neo.

O5 model:
-Not needing a plug doesn't seem like a great benefit given that most trainers will never move once installed.
-The left-right movement with dampeners looks like nice differentiator. I wonder if there is adjustability to it based on body weight

O2 model: holy smokes, is there anything else like that on the market?

Tacx also has a treadmill like trainer, but it’s in a completely different price bracket.

You haven’t seen DCRainmaker’s attempts to use it?

It makes me think just like a tether in the pool a tether just won’t feel natural. The O5 just looks gigantic. Mainly how wide the arms are. I don’t have room for that where my trainer currently is.

I like the idea. Personally I'd really like to be able to buy the Tacx treadmill.

The YouTube up there makes the thing look like a total disaster and a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I think you greatly overestimate how many of us can actually keep our trainers out all the time.

The 05 Definitely looks cool and its great to see another player coming into the market that is clearly a growing market.
I am not seeing a price anywhere on the website.

Also until it's actually out in the wild and we get some real world feedback I am not going to get too excited.

Do you fold the legs and move it over, or do you unplug both ends and actually store it away somewhere else? I doubt many are in the latter camp, and those people probably wouldn't a wireless behemoth over a wired lighter unit

A ÂŁ3690 death trap that doesn't even work half properly.

I'm oot.
