Interesting New Training/Gravel Tire: Pirelli Cinturato

Pretty unreal puncture resistance and the rolling resistance isn't horrible. Basically halfway between a GP4000 SII and a Gatorskin for crr but with better puncture protection than the Gatorskin.

Edit: and it’s tubeless. You’ll have to work to kill this tire.

Belgian Waffle Ride tire?

I use Pirelli's Cinturato tires for vehicles on my car. Love them.

Meh...puncture resistance is over-rated for gravel duty IMHO...and I've been known to "gravel" with tires with pretty light casings and in rocky, single-track conditions, and I have yet to suffer a straight puncture off-road. The only issue I've had is a sidewall cut on a Compass Extra-light casing tire, which is a big reason I recommend the standard casing over the ELs on those.

Might be ok for a commuter tire though...that said, if running tubeless, it's easy enough to just plug a puncture sealant alone won't handle.

Bike Tires Rolling Resistance tests are great and all, but they don't tell you much about how the ride feels. I wonder given the thickness, does it feel like riding on wood? I hate having a workout killed by a flat right in the middle of my main set, and for this reason usually run Conti 4S as a training tire... but that's about as crappy in terms of road feel as I can manage.

I loved the P Zero Velos, but found them rather fragile. Got a massive sidewall cut resulting in a blowout right at the top of a climb before a steep decent recently... really spooked me. Had it happened 30 sec later, I'd have been a goner.
