Installing new zipp 404
Hi guys,

Thinking about getting some zipp 404 wheels. I dont do much bike maintenance myself but will install this myself. Let me know if I have everything down right:

1.) Use the included rim tape and wrap it around the center of the wheel
2.) Install tires and put valve extenders on the presta valves
3.) Transfer old cassette into new rear 404 using the cassette remover and chain whip.
4.) Exchange out the two wheels into bike
5.) Remove the old brake pads and install included brake pads

Thats it right? Sounds simple to me... hmmm

how about tubes?

never mind, i guess by putting the extenders you wont forget the tubes :P

you will need a wrench, i use a ratchet wrench for this, if it is too tight make sure you have a metal bar to use as a lever

May need to slightly adjust things once you put them back together... ie brakes may need some cable tension adjustment after the swap... and make sure you follow the directions on where to place your new brake pads on the rim. Possibly a small RD adjustment.

I personally like the valve extenders that work with the Removable Valve Core, but either way you may need some teflon or plumbers putty to seal your extender of choice and or valve core removal tool.

and a bike pump
