Indian Wells 70.3 selling out soon?
It looks like registration is now at Tier 4. Approximately how much longer until it sells out completely?

Their panic-based tier ruse worked on you. Tier 4 is probably 50% of the total entries. You'll be fine for a while, at least.

If it does, it will sell out very late as this is the very last season panic race for many. It was for me last year. I also wouldn't do it again because I am not sure they'll be able to have as glorious of a bike course as they did with the traffic it caused (e.g. a couple relay teams had to sit around in T2 because their runner was stuck in traffic trying to get back after watching the swim). Other than that, it was a nice race if you're prepared for the cold water (I wasn't!)

Better to be safe and sign up now if you plan on doing the race. It will fill up. Z

I raced last year and remember it being sold out. I couldn't remember when so I just checked their facebook page and they announced on October 8th 2018 that it had sold out. I would expect something similar this year.

Did it really sell out? Last I saw, it was 90% full and I just went to finally register and it says sold out. That can't be right.

Anyone know something specific?

I'm kicking myself so hard right now... I literally went through filling out all my registration online but never finished. Left town for work and just realized I hadn't finished signing up. Now it's sold out as of yesterday. Awesome!

Yeah unfortunately the registration for this one just trickles in as people do what they thought was their last race of the season and then decide they want a redemption race or have been feeling it and want to keep the season going. Bummer.

Appears IM just launched a new website. Old URLs for specific races won't work any more

I figured that out... when you click 'register', it takes you directly to the relay sign-up and you can't change it to individual.

Anyone register as a relay and do the entire race on their own?

How would you do that at this point? The only option now is to join an existing relay team because they aren't taking any new teams. Interesting though tier 4 isn't struck out indicating sold out. New site appears to have a bug.

This is my final plead to anyone who might be able to help... I dropped the ball and waited too long to sign up. I've reached out to the events crew and they are unable to help me acquire registration. If there is anyone that might be able to help me get in, let me know. I'm really fit and would love to give a crack at a sub-4:20.

Thanks!

I tried to get Summer into Boulder 70.3 after we missed the registration by a few days. Pretty sure I was put into contact with all the right people and had some solid pull on my side and they still just said there was no way they could get her in. Your only chance here might be IM foundation or something if you feel like ponying up the whole donation requirement on your own. It's pretty crazy how strict they are about no late registrations but I guess its good to have a line in the sand.
