In the midst of all the negativity...trisports
Quote | Reply
I thought I'd write something positive.

I live 4h away from Trisports, so buy from them mostly. Always shipped quickly. Always delivered fast. Always the right order.

Except maybe 2-3 times. And each time, it was fixed within 24hrs, with an apology and often a little gift was added. Add to that a handwritten 'thank you Francois for your business' signed by whoever took care of it, to make it more personal.

Thumbs up for these guys.

i had the pleasure of meeting and riding with Seton Claggett, who is the owner of Trisports, while I was in Tuscon this past winter. 100% class dude and he runs a first class business. And he's a solid athlete to boot.

+1 ... I've been a customer for years and they've *never* disappointed. I never post, but had to chime in on this one...

Have known Seton since before he started TriSports. Has always been a stand up guy and has carried that on into his business. They got me set up on my new bike and took care of all the little adjustments, initial repairs, etc. I have always had good in store service.

I called trisports with a question on a weekend evening. Left a message and got a call back the next morning. I thought that was impressive customer service.

I can beat that (altho it's not Trisports, it was a place called Sunny Sports, here in NY):
Ordered this Thurs afternoon, paid a little extra for UPS 3 day shipping (vs. the standard 5-day, which rarely ever takes that long).
Anyway, the package was at my house when I got home at 4 on Friday.

They got it out same day it was ordered, and I got it next day. WOW.

PS - it's the cutest little thing, I got the wee one a Mini-MULE Camelbak. Like so:

float , hammer , and jog

Ordered some tri clothing for my fiancée. She was not satisfied with some sizing even if I checked before ordering. Anyway, Trisports took back what didn't fit and let me buy other clothing and gear instead. Everybody was happy.

fair call on trisports great company, deserve the credit, just as the other guys deserve a serve when they get it wrong. Contracts do require consideration we give our money, we are supposed to get stuff, and when we don't we surely get the right to moan

I have to agree. I buy all my non-LBS stuff from these guys, including a Garmin 705. I had a problem once (the item was broken), they sent me a new one before I had a chance to send the broken one back. Hands down the best service out there.

Here's my favorite TriSport story...

Thanks to Trisport a couple of years ago I accidentally found out that I could actually fit into a women's size medium Craft tri suit. I promise I didn't knowingly try on women's clothing, they sent the wrong suit and I put it on before I noticed the tag. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

After returning it to them they then sent a men's LARGE, again the wrong suit. They didn't want to take it back without me paying the shipping costs so I gave it away for free because I was tired of dealing with them and their screw ups.

Someone that works with them saw a post I made here and pm'd me. In our pm exchanged he assured me that I'd get no more
e-mail spam from them. Guess what? I still do to this day.

I ordered some items to be delivered to me in a hotel in Montana. No issues at all, arrived quickly with exactly what I ordered. Can I order a name like Seton Clagget..that's a cool name.

I ordered a helmet that was the wrong size a week out from a race (my fault) and when I called them to see if I could get the right size in time for the race, they sent out the helmet the very same day and let me return the incorrect size at my leisure. I got it two days later.

I always feel safe buying from trisports.com because I know if it's not right, they'll work with me to make it so.

A similar thing happened to me with DeSoto -- I ordered a bunch of stuff and it was on my doorstep the very next day. That kind of worried me because I'm pretty sure a bunch of time/space continuum rules had to be broken to get it to me that fast.

Francois,

Thank you.

I thought this was pile-on-the-retailer week here on the forum!

I agree with you. Trisports.com is a first rate organizetion right the way through. It says something when you drop in do to a PK session and everyone, and I mean everyone from Owner and President Seton Clagget to the shippers and the IT guys, shows up and then everyone thanks you afterwards.

With all respect to their quality and not trying to annoy or offend anyone but maybe we should at least consider shopping at Larsen's these days before we go back to what we liked before. Just to put it out there again.

Thanks all!

For my tri needs I usually use Trisports. For my road biking needs I use Velorwear. They always add a couple of Tootsie Rolls to my order. Yum!

I will be in Show Low for the half and volunteering for the xterra on Sunday. I have done the half for the last 4-5 years. The race runs smooth, the course is nice (nice and green when you come from the desert)...unfortunately they can't "thicken" the air. If you are a lowlander like me 6000 ft elevation makes the lungs work! And the raffle is always awesome with the proceeds going to local charities. : )
