I'm considering doing IM Austria. Does anyone know if laps two and three of the IM Austria bike course are slower than lap one? I know from watching IM Lake Placid for example, that the second lap is often 10 to 15 min. slower than the first. I thank you in advance for any help here!

Laps 2 and 3 are only slower if you slow down!
I plan to do Im-Austria this year... from what I can tell reading the race reports, yes, lap 3 in particular seems to slow down a bit. The way I figure it, though, once you get to the top of the hill in lap 3, you get a rest going down hill....what I considered more was, what kind of biker am I? I can do the big climbs better than the rolling hills (such as Wisc or Switzerland), so I felt Austria was better suited to the type of biking I'm better at.
