Need help again. Just got my self assioma duo, but I wonder if i pair it with my garmin edge 1030, will it show the cadence in the garmin screen?

1. I'm pairing it under power with my garmin - this will show the power output in the garmin screen. Do I need to pair it under cadence too to get the cadence figure in the garmin screen?

2. Do I still need my garmin cadence sensor? Or can I leave without the cadence sensor and obtain the figures from the pedal?
