How often does endless pool update their models?

I am thinking of getting a "fastlane" endless pool. I wasnt able to find any information about how often they update/improve their systems. Thanks!

Given the current scenario I think you may be more concerned with the delivery schedule than when the next model is coming out...

But to answer your query, not often.

There was an older fastlane model that was a bit noisier and less specced. But that's going back quite some years.

I'd guess the only potential model upgrade could be to a quieter motor or something. And this seems unlikely AFAIK.

They've added the software features to enable intervals programmed and the likes so not sure what else could change. Unless they tried to up the HP to make it an elite version if you need to go faster than 1:08/100y

Any idea what this one should be worth, price is in Canadian dollars. How hard would this be to take apart and move about 20 miles away?

New would be around $32k or less give or take.

So 30% discount for an 8yr old model. Not great really.
I'd have thought 15k would be a fairer price, especially considering hassle of removing and reinstalling and likely repairs along the way needed.
For reinstall, you need to research for specialists in your area already associated.
Some have done on their own if you are capable.

A fastlane would be much cheaper if you already have the pool area set up?

Thanks, we moved into a new home a few months ago with a fairly large flat backyard, we are exploring our options and dropping hints for the grand parents to be a pool sponsor:)

Couldn’t the updated models also move more water? Faster effective splits? Use less power? Less maintenance? Etc.

I was just surprised when I was looking at models/competitors and seeing there really wasn’t much out there. In general I feel like a mechanical device should be improved every 5 years or so (unless it at peak performance like the toilet or pencil).

I mentioned the higher HP version like the endless elite to go faster than 1:08/100y but I guess not enough market for it.

Regarding competition, it's out there but doesn't seem to be as good in terms of water flow and process judging by feedback.

As for maintenance, also seems that's not an issue with the fastlanes as very low maintenance when installed correctly.

To take your point, I'd agree surely the motor is more developed, cheaper, lighter etc. Though this doesn't seem to have transferred to the customer...

Yeah i think at the end of the day, the product is what it is. There isnt that much of a consumer base for R+D. I think in general I have just been "spoiled" with tech products getting revamped/upgraded every 2-3 years.

I didnt want to buy a model this year, and then next year an "upgraded" product gets released.

I think there is def room for improvement (motor, wider current, reduced cost, etc.) But it doesnt look like there is a real market for the R+D.
