My bike is probably not 15lbs like some here...but then I'm about 140lbs so I don't really care...and when you see the impact that 1kg has going up l'Alpe d'Huez, you might be tempted to think like M's Law...who care about weight unless you're racing Embrun??

True, but who is riding their tri bike up l'Alpe d'Huez? For that most people are using a road bike.

A good question about this topic is: how are you weighing your bike? Please don't say that you are using a bathroom scale as they are really all over the place when it comes to accuracy. I'd like to weigh my high end Cervelo P3C, but I'm not sure how to do it. Another good question is how much per pound did that thing cost you? I think that high end bikes are like Ladies underwear, the less you get the more they cost. Tim

Must be quite challenging to pedal it w/o pedals, eh?

My bike, all-in, probably weighs around 20-ish lbs or so. I honestly don't know.
I honestly don't care.

Weight is nearly irrelevant, especially for a tri bike.
It's not how much it weighs, it's how fast it goes w/ you on it.
I see a timer at every race - I have yet to see a scale.

Ok mr up on the wrong side of the bed (:

And even more importantly - it's how fast you can run after having ridden it.

Just out of curiousity, how do people weigh their bikes. Do you all have special scales?

I tried stepping on a floor scale both holding the bike and without but the accuracy and precision leave much to be desired

Purchase one of those digital fisherman's scales. Only about thirty dollars or so.

My Kestrel Talon weighs about 17 lbs. My Cervelo P2K was just under 20 lbs.

I have no idea.
Before I worry the weight of my bike, I have "plenty" of lbs I can lose and that would be a lot cheaper!

I switched up only because I worked so much overtime this year that the wifey said I could.
The Blade rebuilt came in at 15.8# with one bottle on downtube.
I'm still waiting for the 3T fork but I'll post a pick after IMKY.
