Under any definition, a Titanflex doesn't qualify as porn...

Bike porn to me, is if there is a pic of a hot chick on a bike...and you notice the bike instead...then that's bike porn. In short, a bike that is extremely desirable

A pic of a bike that gives you wood (figuratively speaking) is bike porn.

For example, a spy photo of the P3 when it first came out, that was porn.

A pic of my 3 year old P2K, with average components on it is not porn. That is more like a naked pic of my 47 year old wife. Not really the stuff of porn status, even though I might love them both dearly.

There is a subset of porn whereby a great example, with a great paintjob, or a perfect example of that type of thing, may also rate as porn. Like if you just bought an actual bike Eddie Merkx rode, that would also be porn, but not as hot as a P3 spy photo.

Anybody got a pic of the P4 prototype? Gerard? Anyone? :-)

ANY new bike?! A Trek 1000? Porn? Cool to the owner maybe, and maybe they might do self-abuse for a while after they get it, but PORN?!

Yeah... according to Justice Potter I don't see it in a Titanflex... the shiny silver Softride might come close for a boingy bike, but it's a stretch.

I am only saying this from the bike porn I have seen lately.

What bunnyman/daddy doodoo makes in his garage is truly bike porn.

Stock bikes cannot be porn. Rather like their human counterparts they need to have had "enhancements"

Enhancements could be exotic and hard to find parts or they could just be alterations that make the bike better suited to the rider or intended purpose. Custom colouring or fabrication are pluses.

A gold anodised P3 is a very good example - even before it is dressed (assuming that it doesnt get "frumpy" clothes)

Perhaps we need a distinction between "nice bike pic" and "bike porn" - afterall; a stock dual is a nice bike, people will admire it (unless the saddle is too high or the curtains are the wrong colour), however - they will not be overcome with bikelust as they will on viewing a 14lb carbon superbike.

Personally a fillet brazed steel frame with metallic paint and nicely matching components makes me dribble, which is the whole point in my view.

The former is porn in the beautifully produced, no artificial ingredients, shot for a "quality magazine" category.

The later is more along the lines of a boyfriend taking a picture of his slightly skinny, maybe a little plain, but certainly not ugly, girlfriend while she lifts up her shirt on a bench in the back yard.

Both can be cool, depending on what you're in to.
