How do I post pics here?

How can I post pics without having to go through another website to do it?

Why is it so hard? And can someone please put up a sticky with instructions? The only one I see is the one in the classified forum but that goes through tinypics.

I am using an iPhone. The attach file button on the bottom doesn’t seem to work either.

At least with a desktop, you click the picture icon, select insert image from file, browse your computer for the picture you wish to insert, select it and Bob's your uncle. No idea if it's similar on your Iphone.

I tried from iPhone as well and couldn't get any results. Had to email the pic to myself and then do it from my macbook.

It’s so stupid. You have to go tinypics. It’s 2019 and we still can’t upload from phone.

Where's the picture stored? Via tynipics I guess in a tinypics database and slowtwitch only stores a link?
When you insert directly per pc the picture is stored in some slowtwitchdatabase?

I’m not a software person. All I know is that I have to jump through a lot of hoops to post a pic here.

Try switching to basic editor on your iPhone; it's the option on the bottom of the screen. I have been able to post photos using that mode instead.

It's my one BIG complaint about this website is how difficult it is to post pictures. If Instagram can figure out coding, I wish Slowtwitch would do the same...

Is this what you see? I had to reduce the size, which caused the blurriness-another annoying side effect...

have you used tinypic.com? it's easy. upload the photo. it gives you link under "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" and you just copy that here.

The OP and I are trying to eliminate going to another website to post a picture. I don't have to go to Tinypics to post on Facebook or Instagram...

Many, many times I have used Tinypics to no avail. Frequently, it doesn't work with annoying popups on that site. I agree with others that whatever code was used to start the forum 15+ years ago ought to be updated for 2019 phone users.

Then you have to deal with a pop op ad sometimes.
Then it wants you to enter a CAPTCHA verification which is not easy. They trick you I to an ad if you enter it wrong.
Then you copy and paste the link.
And god forbid you have 2 or 3 pics you want to put up.

Try Imgur instead. Just upload and copy the link; very nice interface. Don't hit "Share to community." You can upoad and copy a link to the gallery, or copy individual links for embedding. Very easy, makes Tinypic look as outdated as it is.

Agreed! The pic uploading on this site needs serious improvement. It would enrich the forum experience for everyone.
