Helmet safety post crash ?
I crashed at Zofingen this weekend going at speed downhill

I don’t recall hitting my head but I was conscious of my head on the ground as I slid across the floor

How do I know if my helmet is safe ? Seems OK , no cracks but I am sure I read somewhere that if you crash and have contact you need to get a new one

Thanks
Steve

If you have to ask, then get a new one and retire this one to the trunk of your car so you have a helmet in case you forget your good one. Helmets are inexpensive for what they do.

Less is more.

Better idea, throw this one away and get a new one. If he wants a spare trunk helmet, buy an inexpensive one to live there...

Always best to replace it after a crash.

Replace it. Worth checking if the manufacturer has a replacement program as well. Some will give discounts

If you don't know it's undamaged, you have to assume it is. You won't be able to tell from superficial inspection.
Thus if a helmet has been in a crash, you should replace it.

Or, she might tell you to go ahead and keep on using it....

It's just your brain. Probably not worth the cost of a new helmet

Replace, and check whether the manufacturer has a crash replacement discount.
