Helmet and Kit color?
I was looking through the pictures of the Kona bike from 2018 to get a sense of what colors were being worn. Specifically on the helmet. I noticed that there were some black kits...but zero black helmets? Is that because the heat retention on black? Is the heat held that differently in black plastic as compared to kit materials?

What colors do you wear? Do you consider colors and heat retention when selecting gear?

A black helmet isn't really any hotter; pros are just racing with their typical helmet. The foam in a helmet is such a good insulator (basically a beer cooler) that there is negligible conductive heat transfer between the inside and outside of the helmet. What matters is convective transfer (i.e. airflow inside the helmet...i.e. ventilation).

Ventilation is way more important than color in regards to heat
