With a Xlab Gorilla cage and the pouch it makes it very difficult to get a bottle out. I put some lube on the rubber coated covers on the back side to make the bottles a little easier to take out. As stated it is an easy and likely aero way to carry items without having to worry them to fall out.

I can take bottles out of my rear carrier without getting out of aero when I am not using the pouch, using the pouch I have to get up. That may change things for a few people.

I used it in ironman whistler.

I found the same issue. If I just put a bottle back there it almost takes two hands to pull it out. Pretty disappointed in it. Of course I tried to mess with it and ended up tearing the little buttons on the inside that hold it together so jacked that up and can't return it. A waste of money now in my garage. If it was a bit looser fitting I would use it 100% because I love the gorilla cage and the aero pouches this just seems like it needs refinement in my book

I've used mine for four races since the beginning of August and have been very happy with it.

I'm running it on an ISM Race 2 saddle and fit a tube, lever, multi-tool, two CO2 cartridges, inflator and a crackpipe (when needed) into it. The aeropouch is about a 1/4" narrower than than the saddle on either side.

I did change out the cage for a "standard" carbon one, as I found the Gorilla cage that came with it was too restrictive.

I'm planning to Chung test it once I get a decent weather window.

Here you go!

I figured it may be more illustrative to just do some close-ups of the beam/seat/aeropouch.[/img][/img][/img]

Let me know if you would like to see the entire bike with it set up.

I know a few people said tried some different non Xlab cages and said the bottles were much easier to get out. I am not doing many long distances races so not sure if I will be keeping mine.

Time for an update. I bought the Aero Pouch about 2 weeks ago. I installed it and I didn't like it right away. It was way too tight and I could barely get the bottle out. I overstuffed the bag though. XLAB tells you not to do this :). I figured it wouldn't work for me so I returned it. As the next 2 weeks passed, I thought about the pouch from time to time. I tried to make the MultiStrike hold everything I wanted and finally I just went and re-bought the Aero Pouch yesterday. I installed it tonight and after not overstuffing it, it seems to be working fine with the Gorilla XT. It is tighter than before though, but I like how it works and holds everything I need.

Appreciate the feedback Bryan! Have you tried the tips on the underside of the packaging to help loosen the bag and to help pull a bottle out more easily?

Yeah I read them. The biggest problem I had was just putting way too much stuff in the bag. The tips definitely help!

I was worried about using the Gorilla XT, but I was able to pull the bottle out on my repair stand by twisting it. All I need now is the Versa!

Can definitely get some data to you!

In the meantime, what I do have available at the moment is a CFD image which shows the bag itself in a headwind and how it re-connects the air at the back of the bag. Stay tuned!

So fast that they didn't make the picture! ;)

I figured I would post what I had on my computer which was just the bag. Engineering is pretty slammed with some new products in development and some other projects that are deadline driven. I just need to find time to sit down with them and get the data & the image with the rider from their computers. I have some numbers, but want to present the full picture with time savings etc...like we normally do.
