HRM - maybe a silly question?
Hey team,

Sorry if this is a rookie question but I don’t have much experience with HRM.

I have a Garmin 920XT watch and got the tri bundle. Run/bike HRM seems to have bit the bullet.

I have a TOMTOM model SZ999 from a previous running watch.

I also have a Polar T34.

I have tried to sync them with my watch with no luck. Is this even possible? Or do I need to buy a new garmin one to be compatible with my watch?

Thanks everyone

Quinner

T34 is a polar-only model, I believe. No Bluetooth or Ant.

You should go feed the fire about how bad Garmin is in that other thread.

Lol. Thank you.

I’m actually very happy with my Garmin. It is 2 years old and have changed the battery once. I’m sure it has something to do with the fact that I am a massive sweater. But it has treated me fine.

Thanks again

I bought a Wahoo TICKR X to use with Trainerroad/Zwift type stuff, and it syncs perfectly with my Garmin 920. No issues with running or biking. I'm still using my normal Garmin HRM though for triathlons, but the Wahoo strap actually fits me a lot better than the Garmin one.
