Guru Crono cable routing HELP!
So... I'm trying to build up a Guru Crono and it's driving me MAD! Any tricks to help with the cable routing? And I thought the cable routing on my Hooker was hard...

Anyway, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Patience, beer, and a third hand all come in handy.

The most important thing is there is a sleeve above the bottom bracket that routes the cables. If you go below it you will crimp your cables and your shifting will suck...

Bend the end of a coathanger to a nice hook. Fish the cable down the downtube and just let it coil. put the hook/coathanger in the hole near the bottom bracket and just "snag" the coiled cable and pull

Oh, and don't forget beer. Works much better after a few

If you have an air compressor this trick works well when I've done internal cable routing.
1. Tape up all but the entry and exit hole.
2. Insert twine into frame.
3. Using a blow gun with a small tip blow the twine into the frame.

The end of the twine will come out out the exit hole and just use electrical tape to join the twine with the cable housing.

I was lured with pizza and ice-cream to this house in Mexico, and now I have to assemble this bike in order to free myself.

It is tricky. We've found that routing the cables over the top of the bottom bracket rather than under (as specified in the insturctions) simplifies things a bit.

Oh, if you open the PDF on how to do it you may have better luck routing an inner cable (wire) first then sliding the housing through over the inner wire as a guide. Remember the trick with the over the BB instead of under.

It may be easier, but going above the BB means the cables will actually rub against the carbon tube edge above it and the cable will actually wear through/snap. Seen it happen on a couple of occasions. Even if the space is tight (and I'm running it with a 9speed DA BB) you need to run the cable under since it acts as a pulley. Email customerservice@gurubikes com for a pdf file on how to work with the internal cables. There are pictures of the whole thing.
