Rohan Dennis is indeed a good candidate for grand tours, same as Geraint Thomas or Dumoulin.
Interesting to see how some ex-pursuiter big engines / reasonable weight can transition to grand tour, while some others don't. Clearly the capability to move up aerobic / fat absorption vs lactate generation / "sugar" absorption is key.
For some of them, transition to LCHF / keto-adaptation help.
I am leaning towards Thomas again. Assuming his team structure is about the same. I had predicted him winning last year, but I was thinking it was more because Sky restricted Froome due to all the shit happening and having won the Giro. IDK though. I think Froome will be going all in to get that 5th Tour win that puts him alongside Mercx, Hinault, etc. Nothing else will matter for him this season. I'm not sure Thomas can match that focus and desire, he has seemed to be pretty delighted with one win.
Its too early to tell for either of them, but G was strong AF last year. He needs to get his chub he found over winter under control. I'm looking forward to watching their form over the next few months.
