Grease or teflon tape for valve extenders
Quote | Reply
I have been using teflon tape for years for a good seal on valve extenders, but I recently came across something on the web where they were saying to use grease instead. I had never heard of this. Anybody else do this? Which one is better?

Tape. Grease doesn't really do anything for you except slow galvanic corrosion. But the tape will do that job even better.

Not grease, likely, but teflon paste - http://www.amazon.com/...Teflon/dp/B000BQQOVW Messier than the tape, but perhaps marginally better if the fit isn't tight of really sealing things. You can use both if you have a really leaky fit.
