Love it! I would hope Giro would say how it compares to a selector in terms of aero performance.

They said it is right between the Selector and the Aeon in terms of aerodynamic drag, and we have that in the story.

I guess I'll be the first antagonist and say that I think it looks terrible and slightly like a BMX helmet....

At first glance, it reminds me a lot of the one that T.J . Tollakson wears.

This is a perfect helmet for riding with your head down and the tail up. I'd ride with this one in tri races with the vents taped shut.

Too bulky for my taste. I prefer this one. More CASCO-like

Sunglasses are generally faster so I know what option I'd choose.

Except for the visor system which seems pretty cool, it kinda looks like a $20 kid's helmet from Wallmart.

I like it. I am not a big fan of the long pointy helmets. At least this one doesn't look goofy.

That looks as though it's going to be a great helmet- light AND aero. What more could you ask for?

Something that actually looks a little nicer for $240 maybe? I'll stick with my Ionos and advantage 2.

Seems like a waste of money. 12% slower than the Aeon, and with less cooling? The Aeon can be found easily for less than $190. So unless the Air Attack is far cheaper, why would you buy it?

Maybe I do not get it, but if someone already has a road helmet and a TT helmet, where exactly does this fit?

I think that it is designed for the folks that think that aero helmets look extremely dorky.

I am in that crowd. I like this one.

The most interesting thing to me was the "name recycling". My first "real" helmet as "a cyclist" back in the early 90s was a Giro Air Attack SC.

It was freakin' awesome!

It is 12% FASTER than the Aeon and 12% SLOWER than the Selector.

LOL...that was my first thought when I saw the thread, too. Giro re-used the Prolight name a couple years ago and now the Air Attack.

Sure...my thought is that anyone complaining about the "looks" or cooling of this helmet in this thread is OBVIOUSLY not a part of the target audience:

The target audience for the Air Attack according to Giro is anyone that understands the benefits of aerodynamics...

My bad, I mis-read the article: "fits right between a Selector and an Aeon in terms of aerodynamic drag and is 12% slower / faster"

I was thinking the selector was a lower-end road helmet.
