Garmin Edge 520 - scam website
EDIT:

This website was a scam and has been taken down. (http://www.niktax.com)

I found the Garmin Edge 520 for $166 here.

Everywhere else it sells for $250 or more.

This looks like a really good deal, or am I missing something obvious?

I currently have my 920xt mounted to my bike but I was thinking $166 is almost to good to pass up.

Thoughts?

I've never heard of Niktax.com

Seems to hae been registered last week to me. This might be one of those too good to be true. Proceed with caution.

Thanks for the info. I thought the price seemed way to low compared to current market. I will stay away.

Yep definitely a scam. Garmin doesn't allow discounting like that anyway so it should generally be a huge red flag.

Fwiw, it looks like Amazon (via their returns dept) has a single units at $187. Only issue is they typically are presale of returns as these as they are gone right away. First availability is April 28th right now.

Good warning...and if you wonder why these sites exist, it's the same reason you STILL get e-mails from Nigerian princes, etc. and sites with designer Rolexes for only $79. Some people will always want to think they are the "smart" or "lucky" ones, even if it seems to good to be true...:) Now, if you're interested in investing in some prime oceanfront real estate with a guaranteed 29.345322%* annual return, send me a PM...;)
