Garmin- can you restart a ride once you have saved it?

My wife started pushing buttons on a long ride we did this weekend. Once you have saved a bike ride, can you re start it so all the data is in one place?

Or post event can you merge files to get all the right averages?

You can merge fit files from your Garmin with online utilities. Google merge fit files.

I don't think that's possible. But if it can, I will be happy.

Just found this: https://www.fitfiletools.com/#/top

Looks like there is a world of software out there to do more than just merging FIT files.

That's some pretty weird shite. I don't know why anyone would need most of that. Maybe that explains a few I know who are uploading files to Strava showing good power yet they huff and puff to hold the wheel in some of our fun runs.
