Seems Sam may have swam himself straight out of the race. Almost two full minutes behind sanders

Tracker shows Sanders riding 41 mph, is that right?

When did Lionel become the yardstick for swim performance? If 2020/21 was already screwed up, this takes it to waaaay new level!!!!

Sanders leading 2nd pack in the swim! Oh boy I'd his swim improves enough to hangon to the back of the first pack (which would probably be 2nd pack at Kona)

This was just corrected to 12.5 miles, no GSM at 15 miles so the team had to move the split back a few miles!!

Yes I’m seeing those insane speeds across the board on the first bike split. Tailwind or short, or even some KM/miles cock up?

Corrected now, timing team had to move wires because of bad GSM at 15 miles!!!

Sam hasn't raced since December at Daytona. It's probably of some benefit to Sanders and others who more recently raced Challenge Miami for this race.

Even with that correction, they are still flying at 35 mph!

Talbot update: Sanders now 55 secs back on the bike. Hanson group 1:20 back.

Talbot update: Sanders just made the pass on Metz for second place.

Dev, not for this event, I will check with Ironman they usually publish dates for LIVE events a while in advance but with everything going on right now its hard to predict:

https://www.ironman.com/live will eventually have the list of FB watch events.... For now The tracker is the best way to keep tab, they should hit the turn around in a few minutes and there are 18 splits on the run to keep you guessing :)

Looks like half-way through the bike: Lionel is 2nd and Joe is 3rd (who came out 10 seconds back from Lionel and in last place on the tracker)

Although for some reason Sam isn't in the tracker?

Skipper marginally quicker than Lionel on the bike so far and up to 3rd.

This is going to be a proper burn up! Love it.

Sam is on the tracker. Currently in 10th. He didn't show up on the tracker for the swim because he was not in the top 20.

Where is Talbot giving updates? I looked at his instagram account and no updates. Apparently I don't know how to use the internet.
