Full Distance Tris in 2022
Hello all, after finishing a 70.3 in 2019 and 2021 I would like to attempt a full-distance Tri in 2022.

Ideally I would like the event to be in late summer/early fall and within driving distance from Boston (maybe up to 8 hours). I have a hard time finding any listings that fit the bill other the the Lake Placid and Maryland IM. Are there no smaller races organized by different companies? Are they simply not listed yet for 2022?

Trifinder.com shows 4 full distance triathlons in New York for 2021, they don't show anything yet for 2022.

IMMT typically 3rd weekend August and 6-1/2 to 7 hour drive from Boston Area. Of course, dependent on contract renewal.

If you do AlphaWins (formally HITS) they typically get less than 30 people total for the full distance.

Thank you all for your comments.

The AlphaWin just seems to early for me in June. With various obligations I really can't fully dedicate myself to be ready by then.

And so far it seems that all the later ones are about 6-7 hours away (IM MD, IM Mont Tremblant, PeasantMan). I take it my best bet is to keep on checking TriFind.com periodically until the 2022 events start to get listed?

Michigan Titanium… might be a little far but it takes place in August and we’d love to have you.

We have an active athlete forum on FB (just search Michigan Titanium Athlete Forum) if you’d like to talk to athletes who have done the race.

Thank you, JMosey. I think 12 hours driving is definitely too far for my liking--so I'd have to fly in. That would certainly open up a bunch more options for later in the fall.
