Foot Pain Solved - Hopefully
Just wanted to share my pain and my road away from it.

Seemed like whenever I did a race (tri) my foot hurt quite a bit at the beginning of the run (training too). Found that if I loosened my shoes I was able to reduce though not eliminate the pain. But what I couldn't figure out was my shoes seemed the right size. So I had someone look at my pedal stroke and fit. He added some shims (sp) to my foot that had the pain. This cause me to rotate my foot a little bit (the right side of the right foot went up a little). The pain slowly went down but not away. I finally figured out that I was pedaling with the outside of my right foot (the one with the pain).

When I now pedal I just make sure I do it with the whole foot. Ta-Da, pain free and shoe is on nice an tight. I use speed plays if that matters to anyone.

Hope this helps someone else. John Howard is the guy who figured the shim part.
