I think you answered your own question. The safety banter isn’t really a thing. And, personally, I find it interesting that you would choose butyl/carbon brake track option for “safety” over a latex/aluminum brake track option. I care about my safety far more than a few watts and I personally opt for the latter.

They're disc brake wheels, so there really isn't a safety issue whatsoever

Flo has both options. My bike is caliper.

I wasn't aware there was debate on this. Not saying there isn't, just saying when I did my ST search on this before posting, I found discussion on the tubes. Nothing jumped out on the brakes. I didn't make a conscious decision to buy carbon for safety.

That’s my point. You are proclaiming a decision based on safety. But, you are using a carbon brake track.

I've used latex tubes as an internal bladder to cure carbon fiber, held up fine to 8 hours at 350 F. I think you really don't have anything to worry about. I would just run them tubeless though, setup is super easy and at least for me, tubeless has saved me from a ton of flats.

Follow-up.

Went tubeless. P2 bike. GP5000 25mm both front and back pass the ST test?
