Washed up footy player turned Triathlete.

I'm not creative enough to imagine new flavors that might 'work', but I'm a big fan of trying new flavors. I'm surprised that gel manufacturers don't put together more 'assortments', maybe themed. I know there are a few - the Hammer sampler has been a go-to for years, for me - but it would be great to see a pack of 'all sweet' or 'all chocolate' or 'all caffeine' or ... well, you get the idea. Buying the box of 12 is a drag - I prefer to have some choice of flavors. Super hot out? Not mocha, then. My grocery was blowing out Clif mocha gel at $0.70 - it's a pretty good flavor - but I could not buy boxes of the stuff as it would be too boring. I think that I got 8-10 and it took months for me to finish them because sometimes you just want orange or banana or vanilla or...french toast? I placed an order with The Feed last night - they allow you to buy individual gels (not whole boxes) and I chose a bunch of new (to me) flavors, including french toast. And hops! And birthday cake (the Pure Protein bar in birthday cake is pretty good). And some other weird flavors. Oh, and some chocolate and vanilla, just because sometimes that is what I want.

Edit: Wait, I do have a flavor! What do I want after a few hours of tough riding? Potato chip flavor!

Personally I'd like to see them make one that just doesn't taste awful. Every gu I've ever tried has been absolutely horrific, which is a shame because I love the concept. I settle for bloks, but I prefer the ease of gu, I just can't stand any of the flavors.

A friend of mine is one of the owners of REVV Energy in Thailand and for a friends wedding they made a bunch of booze Gels..

I thought the same thing, a buddy who works at a shop gives me samples of ones he likes once in awhile, but I just don't like GU's and honestly have never had one of theirs that I liked much. My current go to gel are the SIS ones, I wish they weren't quite so big but I prefer them quite a bit over other options. I do use Clif Bloks a fair amount as well.

lol... Years ago I ran an "Amazing Race"-type corporate event in Goteborg for the Canadian dealers of the company I worked at. One of the stops was a shot glass full of this... I'd say 90% of participants just couldn't do it, it was hilarious!
