Fizik Bar Tape - Performance (classic) vs Tacky
Quote | Reply
I've used Performance (the classic one) and I like it, however I'm intrigued by tacky which is grippier and feels richer (at least when I touch it thru the packaging).

For those who've tried both - which one do you prefer?

Strongly prefer classic for no other reason than it stays cleaner. I run white.

I've used both and I like the feel and grip of tacky tape more.

I agree with the other poster about cleanliness. If you want to go for color/white, then the performance tape will be easier to clean.

...I suppose it all comes down to preference.

Thanks fellas. I'm getting red - didn't even think about the cleaning aspect.

I use tacky tape too. I don't think I can use other tape after using that one.
Grip is just incredible. Most of all, grip is solid after I get out of the swim with wet hands.
Better grip = Safety.

I've been using the classic and find that it's great when dry, but starts to get slick when wet or sweaty. For me it's a bigger deal on hot days on my road bike than on my tri-bike where I also have my elbows to help anchor my arms.
