Fartlek Running
I just experienced my first Fartlek running workout. All I can say is that I've never hurt so good. I also didn't think I could ever run that fast and then continue running - usually I run that fast only after being chased and then I crash.

Does anyone have any suggestions on good "sample" Fartlek workouts?

We ran about a 10-12 minute warm-up and then did 6-7 hard (1:00-1:30) intervals followed by easy running (2:00-3:00) intervals.

Also - please share any good background articles on Fartlek running.

Thanks

Brian

1 on, 1 off, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on and 3 off and then back down again and repeat as necessary....
