Extremely disturbing development.

I found this deeply disturbing, and I apologize in advance for exposing you to it. However, as I hold each of you inthe highest regard, I felt I would be remise in not being utterly candid regarding these matters.

Again, my apologies in advance to those disturbed by this:

Classic! And people wonder why Quizno's adopted them for their advertising campaign.

this is really old. In college, where random stuff like this spreads faster than cerveloguy's comments against newbies, we saw this years ago. I was estatic when i saw quiznos (sp?) adapted it.

Tom, I am going to take this as definitive proof that I got sole possession of the brain we were previously sharing.

Please do NOT do something like this again.

When I was first exposed to this information, I didn;t appreciate the full weight and significance of it.

I still don't know that I understand the specifics, and this clearly asks more questions than it answers, but I am hoping it will lead to a greater understanding at some point.

Specifically, my questions are:

1. What are these things?
2. Who are the parties originally responsible for this?
3. What was the inspiration for this?
4. Who are the actual performers?
5. Who recognized the significance and power of this?

Many questions, all remain unanswered.

I too went to college. For computer science and journalism. I was exposed to nothing like this in my curriculum.

Are you certain the place you were at was college and not something else? Was it in Montana or New Mexico?

My history teacher was Abraham Lincoln and we had chalk boards and dirt floors.

I did actually walk to college though and we wrote computer programs that were compiled on punch cards.

Good luck with you lessons junior....... :)

When you were in school, "cool" was probably a program that told you how many sodas were left in the soda machine downstairs. ;p Don't feel old if that's true. They still write that code, it's just that now they do it in the real-time systems course. And it's front end is a web app instead of a green screen output.

BTW, thanks for the advice on the Arione. I picked one up two weeks ago.

In the fore ground is a dead possum laying in the road with tire tracks on his body in the background is a guy riding away on his litespeed ultimate. It's caption is something about too much speed.

There was a piece on NPR on these and the quizno's ad that followed. The ad agency supposedly came across these on the web and purchased the rights to them for the ad and re-wrote the lyrics. As the ad guy put it "If it gets people talking, we've done our job." I think they were created by someone in the UK.
