Has anyone tried cutting down the bar extensions on the Easton Attack Bars? My bars are a little long and I would like to cut them down but Easton said that this cannot be done.

They look heavy and not so aero. Anyone know why they cost so much?
I don't think 635g is heavy for the whole bar (not including bar end shifters and brake levers). I weighed them yesterday at Nytro. They're lighter than the equivalent Profile, HED, or Vision Tech bars. I'm not sure about their aerodynamic charachteristics but I do know that there is no Tri-bar out there that is more comfortable. I think they're expensive because they're carbon fiber and top notch quality.
