Eagle eyes needed: zipp wheels - genuine or nah?
So I've come across a decent pair of 808 FC tubular which I'm considering. Guy got them secondhand.
Price is along market lines (so no deal of the century).

However, being in Southeast Asia, I have to be careful since counterfeit wheels are everywhere - they call them "OEM" here...

Appreciate your insights, they seem to pass initial sniff test but I ain't no expert.

Album below... Thanks in advance!

That front hub looks like it was recalled by Zipp. I had a few of those front wheels and I brought it to my Zipp dealer and they mailed the wheel to Zipp, Zipp reused the rim, but rebuilt the wheel with new spokes, nipples, and hub. I didn’t need to provide proof of purchase in USA.

I can’t vouch for the authenticity, but that hub ‘model’ looks like the recalled one.

Thanks for spotting it, decided to pass on the set - recall issue compounded with having to deal with tubulars: too much of a hassle.

Do you happen to know if all hubs that look like that shape need to be replaced? Are they being replaced with similar shape & size hubs or something with different measurements?

I recently purchased and have been riding a wheel from a user on this site that has a hub that fits the description in your link, including the diameter of the clinch nut. Wondering if I ought to send it in. Could you tell a difference when yours came back?
