Do you worry about cracking your frame?
Sufferfest says sprint, so I get out of the seat and go.

However, I am always wondering if I am going to hear the dreaded pop of carbon cracking. I have a standard trainer that doesn't swivel or do anything but hold my back wheel. Because of being conscious of it, I'm not cranking the bike side to side, just trying to hammer a bit.

Are my fears unwarranted? Or should my butt stay down when I "sprint"?

I've been told by the peeps at Felt not to "crank" on the trainer...so I do all my hard work seated. I'm sure it's pretty standard across the board.

On my alum. bike - I "crank" away hoping to finally break the thing and redeem my "lifetime" warranty!

Unless I remember incorrectly, someone (either Tour magazine or Cervelo) rigged up a bike with strain gauges and found bikes are stressed harder on the road than they ever are on the trainer. So basically, don't worry about it.
