I am picking up my time trial bike today and was wondering if it is safe to transport a rear disc on a Thule bike carrier. If you tied down the rear stays it seems to be accomplishing the same thing. Or would the lateral movement be bad for the wheel? Putting the bike in the car is not an option.
Thanks for any suggestions

I always leave my training wheels on the bike when I am carrying my TT bike on the roof. You might want to take a rear wheel with you to stick in the bike while it is on the roof. It's just for peace of mind for me...I know my Thule rack straps will hold the bike securely. Tying the stays down may work, but be careful what you use to tie them down, so you don't rub off the paint on the stays.
