I don't know if I'm too old school, but I used to do the train heavy/race light thing.
So for the winter, I have an old Cannondale cyclocross w/ fenders, rack and obscenely heavy wheels w/ studded Nokian tires. It's like riding uphill for 3 hrs!!!
But for the other bike.... I've got a Soloist Team. My "training" wheels that are on there are Krysirium Elites. I'll do an occasional road race, but I now have some American Classic Carbons coming my way for race day.
Is there any advantage to maybe selling the Elites and picking up some Mavic Open Pros and stacking 36h hubs and making a bombproof heavyweight everyday wheelset? Or just stick with the Elites for the everyday stuff cause I know they are pleanty strong.
Thanks,
