Geez, 4 of the top 5 riders from the US. I hope Landis and/or Leipheimer show themselves well this week. I'd like to see Vino win it all, though, if for no other reason than to spark things up for the Tour.

The surprise there for me is Leipheimer. Anyone else think that is pretty quick for him?

Man, Heras loses 23 seconds in under 8k; that'll be about a minute-and-a-half or more after the Tour prologue when the big guns go hard. Between the Tour "prologue" and the Team TT, the climbers will be out of the Tour before it even starts this year.

According to that cycling rag usa today (I'm traveling) Lance pulled out of his pedal straps on a climb causing him to lose some time.

Levi had some pretty good performances in Tour de Georgia in both TT and climbing. I think Levi will be in the mix at TDF unless disaster strikes like 2 years ago.

ya know 5th place is still pretty good. i wouldn't call 5 seconds playing poker - more like he knows his limitations and his advantages and pulling out all the stops to win a 10 minute prologue in a 7-ish day race isn't on the top of his list.

it's a much better showing then paris-nice or TdG - he must have actually been training this past month!
