Wow that really looks horrible. Do they make the sticky stuff in black? I have a pair of HED aero bars and after reading your first installment, I realized the issue of slipperiness. What is wrong with regular bar tape? I wrapped my bar about 3 inches behind the brake levers, (black bar tape) and it works fine. Other than covering two of the many HED decals, I have not found any downside.

the shape of the bars isn't even vaguely tubular, so it's hard to wrap them with bar tape. i'm going to take the goop off and replace it with sticky back friction tape. that ought to do the trick.
