Cycling and running in San Francisco
I'm taking my two children to Sacramento for the IronKids National Championships, and we will be flying into San Francisco for a few days before the race. Any recommendations for cycling and running with children?

Although they are young, they are capable of hitting 25mph on the bike, so I need something relatively safe, but where they can ride fairly fast too. Is there an area in the Presidio? How about Golden Gate Park? Oh... and I need it FLAT (yes, I know.. San Francisco/Flat, yada yada).

For running... I seem to remember seeing people running somewhere along the water between the marina and the Golden Gate Bridge. Does that make sense?

Thanks

For running or biking yes. Chrissy Field along the waterfront. There's a nice path nearer to the water and bike lanes along the road. Golden Gate Park would be an option too to ride. Fairly flat, but with traffic during the week. There are some good loops in the Presidio, but it's not flat. The only flat in the city is along the waterfront, but once you go over the hill from Ft. Mason to the Bay Bridge and PacBell Park, you run into too much traffic, tourists, trolley tracks and traffic.
