I need some computrainer expert help...I'm well aware computrainer is out of business. The resistance unit on my CT pro has started making a horrible noise. I've tracked the noise down to the thin metal disc that is in the black housing that's about a 1/8" thick. See the attached photo with the light blue arrow pointing to the disc. It is either loose or mis-aligned because it rubs on the other metal parts just to the left and right of it, which makes a scraping noise. I can stick a pencil in there and move the disc about 1/8" and make the noise go away, and then the trainer operates fine. But after a couple minutes of use, the disc moves again and its back to making noise. i haven't tried taking it apart yet...Any ideas on how to fix this would be most appreciated.

If you do a search I had a thread a few years back with a similar issue.
The tl;dr, after disassembling it, basically the plate is warped or the magnets inside are. Either way, it's basically a paperweight as far as I could ever get :(

Found your thread - interesting. When you put it back together, did you leave the plate out?

It is an Eddy disc and is what provides the resistance from the magnetic fields. There seem to be CTs for sale regularly so that may be easiest. I’ve seen posts on CT Eddy discs being straightened and recentered between the magnets, but haven’t seen it detailed out anywhere.

No I tried to straighten/flatten it, but did not have the proper tools to do it right (if it can be done)
