If I go from an 11-28 to 11-26 rear cassette, do I need to take a link out of my chain?

Think about it this way... What's the next smaller cog on your 11-28? Probably a 26.
You only need to worry about chain length when you go bigger on the largest cog... Or smaller on the small cog... Or you change your front rings.
