Chamois lubes & Tri-shorts
Sometimes on longer bike rides I use chamois lube,(Assos, Udder Butter or Bag Balm) with regular bike bibs and shorts and it seems to help. I like them all, but the Assos washes out of the shorts better than the thicker petroleum jelly types.

Has anyone used these in a Triathlon with a fleece type chamois in tri-shorts, or is that just asking for a big gloppy mess?

Thanks,

Richard

Save the cream for the bike (chamois) shorts. Body glide all over your private area for tri shorts. Body glide helps with chaffing during the run, whereas Assos Cream tends to simply wash out during the swim (and burn your eyes if you get it on your hands and touch your face).

Try Sportslick. It's great and it will remain there after the swim. Just don't get it near your body markings as it really works well to remove the Marks-A-Lot pen in the wetsuit. Check it out at http://www.sportslick.com/.
