I like Cervelos as much as the next guy, but if I got a good deal on a pinarello, Id have no problem with that.

Pinarellos and colnagis might not be as "fast" as an s5 but who fucking cares (other than jackmott :)). Id love a nice Itallian race rig.

problem is the S5 is so beautiful (in white), and i have a obsession with cervelo... But my shop hooks me up well and im the only one who will fit this Paris frame he has (6'3) so he will give it to me just under cost so he doesn't have to ship it back. TOUGH CHOICE!

I think of lot of european bicycle companies rely on a reputation built from the last century when bikes were handbuilt and crafted.

These days, the better bikes are engineer designed for purpose.

Nothing out of Europe has impressed me as much as Cervelo, Specialized and Trek.

Euro bikes are no more reliable or better designed, I'd argue reliability is a non-issue these days with warranties covering frame defects.

Design - depends if you want something for function or appearance.

I'd go with the Paris if I were you. You'll never know what may go wrong with a new bike, so I'd wait for a couple of months before getting the S5 (if I want the S5)
Paris - Elegant, Italian, and a great bike to ride!

this isn't even a real question

this would be like asking "do I get a McLaren F1 or a classic E-Type Jag"

the question is incoherent.
