Can you use compact crankset with Di2?

I'm going to upgrade to Di2 and have questions about the drivetrain. Can you use any crankset, such as a compact from FSA? And what about the cassette? Can I put pretty much any gearing back there?

My Di2 works flawlessly on my SRAM Red compact cranks and SRAM Red cassette.

currently using a Sram red quarq compact and it works fine. Before that I was using FSA Gossamer compact with N10 rings and it also worked fine.

Anybody know about gearing? Can I run a 12-25? 11-23? Does it matter or does it pretty much run anything?

Yes, Yes, and pretty much. I often run either a 12/25 or an 11/23 with the compact Red. Both work flawlessly.

The shimano spec for dura ace di2 is a max of 27 in the rear.
