Lung disease, yes. COPD no.
COPD Foundation has a wealth of knowledge and materials for patients. I would recommend checking them out.
FYI - It is anticipated that in the coming years, about 1/3 of patients who are diagnosed with COPD will have never smoked. There is a growing volume of evidence that shows if your parents smoked when you were conceived (both mother and/or father), you are at higher risk of poor lung function and COPD, asthma, etc. Adding environmental conditions, such as second hand smoke, or pollution, only makes it worse.

Do you have a link for that? Last I checked, the statistics for emphysema and chronic bronchitis were still ridiculously dependant on smoking.
