Buying used 2017 Wahoo Kickr - Need Advice
Quote | Reply
I'm buying the aforementioned smart trainer from someone off of craigslist on Monday and I was wondering two things:

1) Is there anything bad about this trainer that I should know?
2) Is there anything specific I should check out when I actually get my hands on it, but before money is exchanged?

Thanks!

The 2017 isn't quiet. If you can pick up a Core for the same price, I'd go for that. The Core is effectively a quiet Kickr 17.

Hi, I bought a brand new KICKR 6 months ago and can give some insight.

1: Its a great bit of kit. Not regretted it one bit.
2: After 3 months it started making a real racket. I phoned company and they were fab to deal with. Replaced the unit.
3: Spoke to a mechanic at Majorca 70.3 who used to work for Wahoo. Told me this was not uncommon.

So I wouldn't be embarrassed to take my bike along rack it a try it out before you part with any cash.

Hope it helps.
