There was a guy in Raleigh that was arrested for something similar a few years back, maybe more. He would steal higher dollar road bikes then travel out of state and sell them. Eventually got caught and wore an ankle tracker for a long time. . .He was shunned by a lot of the cycling groups and run groups for a while, but has been slowly coming back into the run clubs I frequent. . .
