Buffalo Concussion Bike Test vs Ramp test
Quote | Reply
I got concussed at the end of August - hit by a car on my bike after I swerved to avoid a car door opening in a relatively built up area. Was wearing a Bontrager Wavecel helmet but got concussed nonetheless. I'm a bit susceptible as I've had 3 other concussions in the last 10 years, with 3 in the last 4 years (including this one).

Anyway, I'm slowly recovering and have been exercising really easily, currently working 5.5 hours each day, whereas normally I work 8 hours.

I'm looking to see where I am at insofar as my ability to tolerate training goes. i see there is now a concussion bike test (Buffalo Concussion Bike Test - BCBT) that can be used to gauge this:

It looks quite similar to a ramp type test. I have zwift so was thinking I could just look to do a self guided BCBT to see if increased exertion does exacerbate my symptoms and to also see where my training threshold should sit for the moment.

Has anyone else had any experience doing a BCBT?
